Full Story of Guardians of the Galaxy 2 Movie

Ego Invites Quill, Drax, and Gamora

Drax, Rocket, Peter Quill, Gamora and Baby Groot are famous and popular as guardian of the galaxy in 2014. Ayesha is the leader of the race of Sovereign and her job is to guard and protect valuable batteries enter into the dimensional monster exchange for Nebula who is the sister of Gamora. She is caught while trying to steal the batteries. Rocket once tries to steal batteries for himself, then the guardianship was attacked by the sovereign with fleets of the drones. But the drones are destroyed by some mysterious figure on crash land nearby the planet. Later it reveals that it is Quill’s father Ego. He invites Gamora, Quill, and Drax to his planet, Groot and Rocket were left there to guard Nebula and to repair ship.

Ayesha Hired Yondu

Here Ayesha appoints Yondu Udonta and his team who have been fired from the community of greater Ravage for child trafficking, to recapture the guardians. They caught and capture Rocket but when it comes to Quill Yondu hesitate as he is raised up by Yondu but hid assistant Kraglin questions his objectivity and with the help from Nebula Lieutenant Taserface leads a mutiny. Rocket is imprisoned by Taserface meanwhile Yondu releases his loyalist to space. To investigate more about this Nebula leaves to kill Gamora and blames Thanos their father for the torture they have done on her. Here Rocket and Yondu bonds in prison. Groot and Kraglin feel guilty for the mutiny and release Rocket and Yondu. And as they get free they destroyed the ship and its crew, not before Traceface warns the sovereign.

Quill Fights Back

Ego, a celestial god like manipulated consciousness around from the home planet which projects human characteristics disguise for traveling to the Universe and to find out the purpose but he eventually falls in love with Quill’s mom Meredith. After Meredith passed away Ego sent Yondu to collect the young Quill but Quill was never reached ab delivered to him and since then he is searching for his son quill, Quill was taught by Ego how to manipulate the celestial power and Nebula reach to the Ego’s planet and tries to kill Gamora, but the uneasy things happen when they find a caravan full of skeletal remain.

Ego reveals that during his travels he planted seeds in thousands of worlds for his own extension. but it could only be activated by the power of celestial hence he hired Yondu to collect his child but killed them all while not meeting his expectation. Quill helps Ego to activate the seeds but Quills fightbacks when he comes to know about her mother’s death is caused by Ego.

Yondu Sacrifices His Life

Here Mantis, Ego’s servant comes closer to Drax and warns him from Ego’s plan. Nebula and Gamora also come to know about the plan as Groot, Yondu, Rocket, and Kraglin arrive there. As all of them comes from the attack of sovereign’s drone the reunited guardians find Ego’s brain at the core of the planet. Rocket makes a bomb from the batteries he stole and planted it at the brain. Quill fights back with Ego with his newly discovered celestial powers to distract Ego’s attention when the guardian and Mantis to escape.

Here the bomb exploded and fails Ego’s plan and kills Ego too. As Ego dies, Quill loses all his celestial powers. To save Quill, Yondu sacrifices himself and dies in the space of vacuum. And Quill realizes that Yondu kept him away from his father because of his ill doings. Gamora and Nebula reconciled but she still wants to kill Thanos by herself only. The Guardian holds the funeral of Yondu which was attended by dozens of Ravager ship and the acknowledge his sacrifices and again accepts him as a Ravager.

Review of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Directed by James Gunn and produced by Kevin Feige, Guardians Vol. 2 is a funny, action-packed sequel to Vol. 1, and it’s chock-full of great performances, clever humor, more character and relationship development, and stellar visual effects.

Story Review

Picking up a few months after the first Guardians, Vol. 2 follows the Guardians of the Galaxy as they work to uncover Peter Quill’s parentage while evading a race called the Sovereign. Meanwhile, Yondu’s Ravagers are hunting the Guardians for a huge payday, and Yondu ends up working to save the Guardians from certain death. All of the main cast members from the first movie return, and they are joined by Kurt Russell as Ego, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, and Elizabeth Debicki as Ayesha.

James Gunn wrote and directed this movie, so a lot of the credit for this movie’s success goes to him. His irreverent-yet-still-emotionally-affecting style is perfect for guys like the Guardians. He manages to go deeper into the hero characters and flesh out their relationships with one another, while at the same time fleshing out the backstories of lesser-known characters like Nebula and Yondu.

Starcast Performance

Kurt Russell is great as Ego, Peter’s father. It’s great to see his character fit right in alongside the goofy, comedic Guardians, and he always keeps you guessing as to what his real motivations are. Klementieff’s Mantis, meanwhile, is a standout character; she’s immediately likable and endearing, and she manages to develop a strong rapport with several of the veteran Guardians, especially Drax, who continues to get several funny lines and beats. The Gamora/Nebula sisterhood is also expanded on in this film.

The sisters have a complicated history together due to their shared trauma at the hands of Thanos, and we begin to see what’s driving each of them in their endeavors. Karen Gillan does a great job with more material, and Zoe Saldana makes Gamora a more complex character with her performance, too. This becomes crucial to understanding their dynamic with Thanos as that comes into play in Infinity War.
