An Arrogant Strange

The sorcerer Caecilius with his zealots enters the secret compound Kamar Taj in Kathmandu and cut the head of its librarian. And the theft few pages from the oldest mystical text belongs to the Ancient One. Sorcerer a long-lived who used to teach to every student at Kamar Taj including Caecilius in mystical arts, Pursues the traitors of the Ancient One but Caecilius and his followers escape. And they are in London, Hong Kong and New York city all are operated from Kamar Taj.protecting Sanctums are sorcerer’s task and Pangborn used mystical energy to walk again. Here Strange learning everything quickly and he reads the text from the pages stoles by Caecilius which reads how to bend time with the mystical eye of Agamotto.

Hence Mordo and Wong warned him for breaking the rules of nature. And tells him Caecilius desire of eternal life. Caecilius contact Dormammu of the Dark Dimension by using the stolen pages where he learns time is nonexistent hence he destroy the London sanctum in order to weaken the earth’s protection. Here zealots attack sanctum of New York and killed its guardian but strange with the help of Cloak of Levitation holds them until Mordo and the Ancient one arrives

The Drawing Power

Strange reveals to Mordo about the Ancient one is drawing power so she becomes disillusioned in order to sustain a long life. In the fight of Mirror dimensions, Caecilius wounds Ancient One and escape from there to Hong Kong. Before she dies she tells Strange that he has to bend the rules to complement steadfast nature the only way to defeat Caecilius. Hence Mordo and Strange go to Hong Kong to find the dead Wong where they come to know that the sanctum is destroyed and earth is engulfing by dark dimension.

Strange saves Wong with the use of the eye to reverse time. and enter the time and create the time loop around him and Dormammu and after several attempts to kill Strange eventually he agrees to leave earth and take Caecilius and Zealots with him so in return Strange breaks the time loop. Mordo departs by Strange and the Ancient One defying nature’s law. Here Strange returns to Kamar Taj and go to his residence in New York sanctum and continue his studies.

Direction Review

Directed by Scott Derrickson and produced by Kevin Feige Doctor Strange is based on Marvel Comic. This the first time Marvel released a movie with so many risks. First of all, the “Ancient one” is an Asian male character from Nepal and I cannot find a good logic behind casting a British female actress as an ancient entity who has a spiritual aura in her when you have so many Asian actors in Hollywood.

Story Review

I mean, how come a white lady could be an ancient one living in Nepal for centuries, does not connect at all with real-world geographically or historically. And secondly, this the first time events in a Marvel-movie since Fiege-era was described from a spiritual and metaphysical standpoint.

The events like the existence of other-worldly entities, magical feats, immortality and the perception of time could be explained just magically unlike the Thor movies in which a Norse God is explained to be basically an alien race from other parts of the universe with highly advanced technology and super-powerful physique. Other than these two absurd changes, the movie is a psychedelic journey into a new realm of possibilities and Benedict Cumberbatch is breathtaking.

Doctor Strange is another fairly straightforward hero’s journey. Strange loses his hands, something he really values, and on a quest to fix them, ends up gaining something more meaningful. Sure, this kind of story has been told numerous times, but the thing with Marvel is that they’re always able to sell it in a way that feels fresh. This largely due to the vast number of different characters they have at their disposal. These characters manage to make us care about the story.
