Story of Setters

An Honest Police Office

Police inspector Aditya Singh (Aftaab Shivdasani) is a very honest and strict police officer who always takes his work very seriously and does it very efficiently and up to the mark. Then Apurva (Shreyas Talpade) and Aditya were school time friends but now they turned enemy to each other as Apurva has become a goon and a criminal. Hence their friendship relation has become better as Aditya wants to do his duty honestly without considering Apurva his friend so the tale of their enmity starts from here.

Apurva The Henchman

Apurva now has become the right hand and henchman of Bhaiyya Ji ( Pawan Malhotra). Bhaiyya Ji is considered as one of the most powerful men of Benaras as hr run the biggest racket of leaking exam paper and arranging duplicate students for exams. Bhaiyya Ji has a wide network in this field who leaks paper and bring fake students to duplicate in exams. Many colleges are college management also supports Bhayyaji as they earn money from students by giving them leaked exam papers. It is shown that Bhayyaji has true faith in Apura as he is very loyal and honest to Bhayya Ji. Bhayya Ji is also inclined and attracted towards Apurva hence they share some different kind of relationship as Bhayya Ji is romantically inclined towards Apurva.

Aditya Gets Orders

Here Aditya an honest police officer just opposite to his friend Apurva very dedicated towards his work comes to know about the paper leaking and providing duplicate student gang which is active in Benaras and couple of other cities also. he investigates more in this and to his shock, he comes to know that his dear friend Apurva is playing a very important role in this gang. no Aditya wants to expose this gang anyhow and he starts his investigations and spread his police network to catch this gang who is running such a big racket who is ruining lofe of many students.

Aditya Makes His Team

Now Aditya becomes very active in order to solve this case and also he gets orders from Delhi to expose the racket at earliest. So Aditya decides to make his own team of suspended police officers as he thinks that they are perfect to work with him on this case. so he made his team and starts his investigation to reach to the gang.

New Technology

Here Bhayyja Ji’s gang is doing their illegal work at fullest as they are getting support from an academic institution and some experts who are helping them to provide some extraordinary gadgets to cheat during exams in the exam hall. A man shows Apurva a gadget which actually looks like a pendant a but works like a mic through which students easily can cheat another gadget is shown is glasses which one can wear and there is a small button on it which works as a scanner. Apurva is very amazing to see all this as it will make things easier for them.

What Will Happen

Here Aditya all set with his special team to nab and expose the paper leaking Bhayya Ji’s gang and Thereee Bhayya Ji and Apurva with their gang are all set to do their work. Now, who will win this race? Will Aditya able to accomplish his task od catching Bhayya Ji’s gang? 0r Bhayya Ji’s Gang again will do their work successfully and escape from police?

Review of Setters

Directed and screenplay by Ashwini Chaudhry and produced by Narendra Hirawat and Vikash Mani and written by Siraj Ahmed Setters is the crime based film. there is nothing new in the story or screenplay it is a typical Hindi movie, which has nothing new and exciting to show. if we talk about the subject os movie that it will attract you but the story the screenplay fails to support that topic.

Though it is based on a social issue which country is facing now it fails to attract and pull people towards theatres. as the movie offers nothing new and just watching a trailer one will get disappointed. hence over all the movie doesn’t seem appealing at all may be due to his poor Starcast also. The director should work more to create something unique and new which would have to attract people to the movie.

Starcast Performance

Aftaab Shivdasani, who started his career as a child artist from Mr. India still struggling to hold his place in Bollywood even after 30 years. He has done many movies in these years which fails to give him the recognition he required, he is still unable to register himself as a good actor. the last we remember him and his movie is the series of Masti. He is there in all the three parts in a comedy role and people remember him in that role only and here in setters playing a role of the police officer he miserably failed.

Shreyas Talpade, another struggling actor we can say even after working in the industry so ling fails to register himself in the list of a credible and good actor. He has done many Marathi movies also and people liked him in the Marathi movie industry. but here in Bollywood, his charm didn’t work. Also, Shreyas has done many Hindi movie also but we remember him and his movie is Golmal series which is total comedy and entertainment movie where he did comedy and here in Setters doing a serious role a henchman of the gangster he didn’t do justice to his role.
