Story of Mere Pyare Prime Minister
A Single Mother
Sargam (Anjali Patil) a single mother lives with her seven-year-old only son Kanhu (Om Kanojia) in a slum called Gandhi Nagar in the busy Mumbai City.both the mother-son duo is full of life and happy go lucky in nature and loves and care for each other the most. Kanhu used to play with his friend the whole day and her mother also pamper him a lot. Their relationship is very unique. the slums in which they are living has every facility like T.V, Fridge, Electricity, and smartphone also but the most important thing which the slums and the people belong to Gandhi Nagar don’t have is Toilet.
Women’s Struggle to Defecate
Now the slum has every small facility but does not have the basic and important thing like Toilet so obviously, it is creating a problem for the slum dwellers. Especially women, slum dwellers have to do the excrement openly as there are no toilets. Men have the advantage of being men and they can excrete at whatever time they want to but women have to face problems as they have to fix certain timings for it. Which is early in the morning before sunrise or late in the night when all are sleeping otherwise they have face embarrassment. So it becomes the daily struggle for them.
The Dark Knight
The bubbly Sargam, who is a bit careless one night feels to go for excrement, as it is the very usual thing for all the slum dwellers there she takes her water pot and goes to the isolated place where is usually used to go. After finishing it up and while returning she trapped in and got raped by a man. When she returned home and Kanhu comes to know about her mother’s rape he gets very upset and angry and thinks why there is no toilet in his slums.
Kanhu Writes a Letter to Prime Minister
Noe a little poor Kanhu who is very upset and feeling very bad for his mother comes up with a unique idea. The seven-year-old kid decides to write a letter to the most powerful man of the country and that is Prime Minister to make a toilet in the slums so that his mother does not have to go outside for excrement and the same incident can’t be repeated. So the little Kanhu write a letter addressing Prime Minister of the country and narrates the whole incident and he writes the heart touching line that what if it happens with your mother?
Kanhu Goes to Delhi
The little Kanhu’s thinking does not stop here only after writing a letter now he decides to go to Delhi to deliver a letter to Prime Minister himself. So he tells his friends to accompany him to Delhi and with a couple of friends, Kanhu departs from Mumbai to Delhi in train. After a long journey, Kanhu and his friends reach Delhi and goes to Parliament house and asked the gatekeeper there, Is Prime Minister stays here? As they are kids and due to the tight security outside the parliament the security doesn’t allow Kanhu and his friends to go inside.
But one of the polite and humble government official (Atul Kulkarni) saw Kanhu and his friends and Take them inside in his office where Kanhu hands over the letter to him and tells him the story and ask him innocently will our work get done so the official says I can’t say I can only deliver your letter and rest is dependent on system so Kanhu asks where is Mr. System?

Story Review
The young actors do a solid job and totally steal the show. The weakest part of the film seems to be the story. Their journey to Delhi that the kids partake in, could have been made a bit more interesting.

Om Kanojia a little Kanhu shows his real innocence in the movie and just being a seven-year-old kid he acting like a pro. It is really commendable and praiseworthy how a little kid acted hats off to the director also.
Anjali Patil a young and talented actress has done several monies in recent years and registered her presence with her acting skills. Hre playing a victim of rape she acted superbly in the movie
Music Review
Shankar Ehsan Loy is the music directors of the movie and they have given excellent music which suits to the background of the movie. Thereee is a total of four songs in the movie sung by Arijit Singh, Shankar Mahadevan, Rekha Bhardwaj, and the living legend Asha Bhonsle.
