Four teens on a trip hit a guy on the road but decide not to say anything. One year later, they receive menaces about someone that apparently knows what they did last summer.
I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997) Review:
This movie is one of these mimics of Scream that came right after the success of the original Wes Craven’s slasher. Unfortunately, this one feeble mimic. I disliked pretty much everything in this movie except for the gathering of great actors (Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Ryan Phillippe). This movie is another proof that big budget and famous actors (even if they were not so big at the time) does not make a good movie if there is no original idea behind!
The film is very predictable from start to finish, and there is no much innovation in the kills either. If you like Slasher, there is plenty of better one than “I know what you did last summer”. I did not dare to watch the sequels, but I would be really curious to hear about people have to say about it.
