Evil Dead II (1987) Review:

One of the few example of a sequel that is, in my opinion, better than the original. To me, this movie has everything a horror-comedy movie need. It is absolutely hilarious, but just enough (and I usually do not like comedy so much). Actually, it is the perfect balance between fun and great horror. But Evil Dead II also has great action scenes, the spirits’ attacks being diverse and very inventive. As in the first movie, the old 80’s special effect are beautiful and add a lot to the fun of the film. Evil Dead II is stuffed with cult scenes, the chainsaw hand scene being probably the most famous. The character of Ash, from this movie on, became one of the coolest horror icon. This movie is simply Sam Raimi at his best!
