Cube Zero (2004) Review:
This third episode of the Cube series decided to turn things inside out and show you the “behind the scene” of Cube, namely who is monitoring the maze, and how. This seems like a good idea at first, but unfortunately, the movie does not give the answers expected and ends up being really messy, raising more questions than it answers.
I also thought that it kind of demystified the Cube concept a little: bye-bye the unknown and the claustrophobic sensation, here things are happening in the real world and that kind of spoils all experience.
The only good things are the traps. They are quite similar to those in the first film (I hated Cube 2’s traps: too futuristic and not realistic). Still, I think they should have stopped after the first one, the poor realization of making the film looks like a cheap telefilm.
