Cube (1997) Review:

Cube is an amazing sci-fi/ horror which, with his atypical look and minimalist look, revolutionized what could be called the “claustrophobic” genre. You only get to see the same 7 characters all along, always in the same type of rooms, thereby creating an extremely heavy atmosphere and an enormous psychological tension.

This pessimistic film is also filled with a clever social message about the deep aspect of human nature and the lowest things that can come out of people once put under survival pressure.

I remember finding myself all jolted after watching it back in 1997. I still love the way the film is made, with each room having its own color and these colors tending to match the emotions of the characters, simultaneously affecting yours. This claustrophobic tale finishes in total madness, leaving you exhausted as the movie stop.

A compulsory, nerve-breaking, watch!
