Story of Aramm Movie
The Resignation
The movie begins with the news channel showing report of India becoming a superpower by launching rocket and the reporter asking common people about it and their replies are very careless that there is nothing to do with them as they are common people. In the next scene, IAS officer Madhivadhani (Nayanthara) interacting and arguing with his senior and giving her resignation from the post of collector and blaming government system for it and taking the support of common people.
Swimming Passion
Then the story movie to a flashback from the present day where there is a family consist of 4 people, father, mother and their two kids an elder boy (Mantu) and his younger sister Danshika. Mantu loves to swim he spends all his time in swimming and watching swimming videos on mobile but his father doesn’t like his passion for swimming and restrict him to swim.
Madhivadhani Visits to Village
Here the IAS officer, collector visits a village to analyze their problem. People gathered around her started to tell her all the problems they are facing sadly and the biggest problem is water. She feels bad for their sufferings and promises them for their betterment. She tells them that this the result of some corrupt people. And being emotional she decides that she will not drink water until their problem of water gets to sort out.
Water Distribution
Madhivadhani noticed that many water tankers are getting supply to big hotels and construction site hence she instantly orders to cease that tanker and send them to the villagers. Now coming back to the present day her senior was questioning her that who gave the authority to distribute water?
Danshika Goes Missing
Danshika’s mother was busy in the work and after finishing work she finds Danshika nowhere and in her search, she runs towards the fields and there she comes to know that her little daughter fell into the deep borewell. Police was informed about it and Madhivadhani also gets information. Police, fire brigade and all reached to the spot. Soon the news gets viral and to media also and aired on news channel. As Madhivadhani arrives at the spot everyone started yelling at her that why everyone reaches late? She consoles her mother.
Rescue Mission Started
Soon the rescue work started with the team of professionals including doctors. They arranged oxygen supply through pipe till the girl in the deep borewell and her in connected the little girl to her parents through the camera. Rescue work is not as easy as the borewell is very narrow. So the rescue team decided to pull her out by the hook. The rescue work getting tough and all the villager angrily blaming the corrupt government.
Situation Becoming Worse
The police team behaves badly with villagers hence rebuke at the police team. Hereafter several attempts the rescue team is failing to pull out Danshika. The army is called now for the rescue and they dig the big holes around the borewell. And one corrupt leader arrives and shows his careless attitude regarding the accident.
Madhivadhani Comes up With an Idea
She comes with an idea that with the precaution and safety they will send someone to the borewell with the help of a rope tied around the body so Dhanshika can be saved. She tells Danshika’s parents to send their son for the rescue of their daughter and finally, they agreed with the heave hearts. And eventually Mantu successfully takes her sister out and everyone is overjoyed by seeing both of them safe and alive. But Madhivadhani landed in problem as officially set an inquiry on her for her self taken decision.

Directed and written by Gopi Nainar and produced by Kotapadi J Rajesh Aramm is the is based on the true incident. This movie is based on social issue hence people get attracted to it before its release only. Gopi Nainar directed it beautifully by showing the genuine problems of people and the situation of the corrupt system whether its police service or politician, no one thinks about the common people and work for their own good only. Making a movie on such topics always creates awareness amongst common people. Till now this movie is considered as one of the best movie made on a social issue in Tamil cinema.
