The Most Anticipated Horror Movies:
10. Red Dot:

https://youtu.be/EHARitHyWKc
Netflix has this knack for coming up with some really intriguing stuff, and when it comes to intensified horror, they are a class apart we have jotted down their prowess in our Best Horror movies on Netflix also. Red Dot is another addition to their glory run. A couple from Sweden, on their beautiful camp date, are baffled to notice a red dot on their tent coming out of a sniper rifle. They go nuts to witness the beam of red light on their tent. This movie is all set to mark its Netflix premiere in February and it is also the first Swedish film to feature on Netflix.
9. Candyman:
Directed by: Nia DaCosta
Releasing in: August 2021
https://youtu.be/5TSMulpd3Bc
This film is a sequel to the 1992 movie with the same name. This is not the only similarity, this movie has a series of events linked with the predecessor. Unlike the original movie, in this film, the trailer has suggested that Anthony is in the possession of the spirit of Candyman.
The trailer gives a fair share of emphasis on scenes of Candyman to haunt the viewers and to make them recall the previous film. The film is mostly about Anthony, the multimedia artist, and his uncanny connection with the Cabrini Green site of the infamous Candyman murder.
8. Morbius:
Directed by: Marvel universe
Releasing in: March 2021
https://youtu.be/jLMBLuGJTsA
I don’t have to mention much about the movie, but just the fact that it’s a Marvel Universe production is enough to skyrocket your expectations from the film. This film is more of a supernatural touch to the horror genre, which is expected from Marvel Universe.
This film is about Michael Morbius played by Jared Leto who is turned into a blood-thirsty vampire as a result of the side effects of a cure for his blood disease. Apart from the brilliance of Morbius, we have Matt Smith as Morbius’ best friend, then Adria Arjona as Morbius’ fiancé, and Jared Harris as Morbius’ teacher. All of them in tandem have brought an action-packed, full of bloodshed kind of horror movie for us.
7. Last Night In Soho:
Directed by: Edgar Wright
Releasing in: April 2021
https://youtu.be/2-Vc-ZHZ5RU
A fashion designer in search of an icon finds herself in 1960, that too only to find out that the icon she was in the search found isn’t the one she was looking for. Time travel is fascinating on its own, and when mixed with the goofiness of the early 1960s is enough to send tremors of frightening.
The lead role is played by Anya Taylor-Joy. This movie is appearing to be a blend of the stylish horror of the present time and the Gothic, classic horror of the past inspired by the likes of Repulsion, and other classics from the 1980s.
6. Don’t Breathe 2:
Directed by: Fede Alvarez’s
Releasing in: August 2021
https://youtu.be/3iKTwZkvpTc
It was 2016 when we were introduced to the legend Norman Nordstrom who despite being a blind man is far more capable than any prudent person might take him. The Don’t breathe sequel was highly awaited and it was in the making ever since the first installment was released.
Leaving all the chaos behind his back, Norman has moved far from the hustle-bustle of the town, with an orphan girl. He planned to live a simple life but destiny has other plans for him, really gruesome ones. People from the past of that girl will come to take her away and Norman as he did in the first movie, stand erect on his ground to protect her.
5. The Forever Purge:
Directed by: James DeMonaco
Releasing on: July 2021
https://youtu.be/RH1ivA-Bwg0
The Purge franchise has really broadened their fan base since the first movie premiered in 2017. They have successfully managed to bring some really uncanny thoughts to the silver screen.
Each purge movie is about a day in America when there is no law in the country for a day, and anyone can do any crime. Rape, murders, executions, beheading, and every other crime you can think of. The sense of fear and helplessness is portrayed in the previous installments and we can expect the trend to continue. We don’t yet have a trailer for the film, but it is all set to release in July 2021.
4. Paranormal Activity 7:
Directed by: Oren Peli’s
Releasing on: unknown
https://youtu.be/MVYFGnQgh_4
The franchise is 6 films down the lane and the 7th one knocking the doors to be released, but the hype and the love for the franchise have only shot upwards. Most of the previous films were based on the demonic possessions of the Featherstone family and them being a curse for anyone who comes in their vicinity.
The makers of the paranormal activity series have proved one point very firmly that low budget films too have a chance to grab the attention of the viewers, after all, it’s the content that matters.
3. Run Sweetheart Run:
Directed by: Shana Feste
Releasing on: February 2021
https://youtu.be/2T2n0-dl434
This movie is aimed at highlighting the social misogyny modern-day women have to face. What was planned to be a romantic evening with her date for Ella Balinska, the protagonist turned up to be one hell of a mishap for her.
Her partner turned into a violent assaulter out of nowhere and went crazy behind her. She can be found running frantically, being frightened to death from the hills of Hollywood to West Hollywood with no phone, no footwear, no nothing!
2. A Quiet Place ll:
Directed by: John Krasinski
Releasing in: April 2021
https://youtu.be/XEMwSdne6UE
With the world being shattered by human-eating monsters, when humans are hunted down like insects we saw the Abbott family somehow managing to keep themselves alive.
Part 2 of the franchise will again feature the plight of the Abbott family, how they will deal with the post-apocalyptic world which has only got worse than before. Abbott’s family will find their hiding in a sanctuary and will have to come out of their hiding in their farmhouse. In the world outside they have the monsters waiting to feast upon them. Dealing with trauma for a while is different and living with it for years is a whole lot of asking to make from an individual. And this is exactly what you will get to witness in this film. This is one of the most anticipated horror movies.
1.The Conjuring 3:
Directed by: Michael Chaves
Releasing in: September 2021
https://youtu.be/0rySKUayGh4
The Conjuring is thus far the most successful (arguably though) horror franchise that has its fans all over the world. It is all set to be the eighth film of the conjuring franchise. Nevertheless, it is said to be the direct sequel of the first two Conjuring films. This film is about the 1981 Arne Cheyenne Johnson murder trial which was the first time in the history of America when being in demonic possessiveness became the base of the ” Not Guilty ” defense. We have Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson playing the two paranormal investigators in the movie.
The courtroom scenes are going to deliver some serious chills, while the post crime story setting is next level frightening as well. As per the last available bite from the makers they are planning for a June release for the film both on the video on demand, and theaters.
