Casino and horror films are hard to think of in the same sentence. We can say that those two things are absolute opposites, where the casino represents a place for relaxation and fun, while horror movies usually represent fear and tension for most people. However, imagination knows no borders, and thanks to it, the combination of horror movies and casinos was born. Although there are not too many such horror films, they still exist and we will talk about some of them.
A combination of casino and horror
Although that combination sounds strange at the very thought, those two things managed to combine. In such horror films, the casino is usually only used as a location, it usually does not include the betting or gambling games themselves. If you are a fan of betting, there are many sites where you can find out a lot of interesting information about betting and learn more about free spins.
The films we will talk about
- The Haunted Casino (2007)
- The Leprechaun 3 (1995)
- Remains (2011)
- 13 Tzameti (2005)
The Haunted Casino (2007)
As the film’s title suggests, it’s terrible and centers on a run-down casino that’s haunted by “The Word,” a mobster who wants to settle some long-standing grudges by carrying out a violent massacre. The casino was located outside of Vegas and was inherited by a collection of unlucky people. It is somewhat campy and strange. Many gambling and casino scenes, including ones where children were made to wager for their souls, are featured in the film.
The Leprechaun 3 (1995)
Beginning in the 1990s, the horror film series Leprechaun produced a total of eight movies. In the first six seasons, Warwick Davis, a violent leprechaun on a determined quest to find his pot of gold across America, makes an appearance. Since the third film is set in Las Vegas, it makes sense that casinos would be present. In other words, the movie’s main setting is a casino and gambling.
Remains (2011)
The 2011 zombie horror film Remains was published. The film’s horror component is exposed with the appearance of zombies in a post-nuclear America. A bunch of casino employees in a fictitious Reno casino are the subject of the film. The attempt to make the workers into zombies failed, but some other people did as well. They were able to do this by defending their structure against zombie attacks.
13 Tzameti (2005)
The French-Georgian horror/thriller 13 Tzameti examines the game of chance known as Russian roulette. Sebastien, the protagonist of the film, is an underprivileged immigrant who works as a construction worker in France and becomes embroiled in an incident that endangers his life. A sealed package containing a weird job description that might make him wealthy is delivered to him. He finds himself in a perverse, dangerous predicament as a desperate man in a remote cabin where a criminal organization is hosting a lethal gaming competition.
As you can see from the description of the movies, the combination of casino and horror movies can be fascinating. If you decide to watch such a film, we can say that there is a high chance that they will attract your attention and that you will enjoy them.
