Silent Hill Revelation 3D (2012)Review:

Silent Hill is a very good sequel to the first movie, but it somehow looks a bit pale as compared to the original. The main reason for this the scenario. One can feel that Michael Bassett put some effort into it, i.e. he tried very hard to justify Sharon going back to Silent Hill and exploring around alone. Unfortunately, the story does not convince, the plot is really far-fetched and I found it irritating at times. This said, let’s talk about the rest, the movie is absolutely beautiful! I haven’t offered such pleasure to my eyes in a long time.

The graphics are very polished, the peeling effect is superb and the creepy look of the first movie is successfully transcribed in this sequel, if not enhanced. Thereee is also plenty of action to keep everyone happy. But the highlight was the monsters. They are simply some of the best horror creatures I have ever seen, perfectly designed, very diverse and different from anything seen before (the spider!). For me, this largely compensates for any lameness in the scenario. So put your brain on standby and let your eyes enjoy the show!
