Pumpkinhead (1988) Review:

Pumpkinhead has one great thing, an awesome monster! The rest of the movie is quite secondary behind the character of Pumpkinhead itself.

The story, or more the idea of a nightmarish monster that can be invoked to execute your vengeance is quite basic, but efficient. Some little twists add to the fun, like the fact that the person invoking Pumpkinhead feels the pain of its victims.

The movie has a really dark and dramatic atmosphere, but is in no way surprising. On the bright side, the acting performance of Lance Henriksen (Aliens, Terminator, Scream 3) is worth noticing.

Pumpkinhead is a monster classic, and highly recommended to any monster lovers!
