Sai Dharam Tej came out of his comfort zone of doing flashy commercial films and his decision did wonders for him. Alongside Sai Dharam Tej we have the likes of Rashi Khanna, Satya Raj, Rao Ramesh and Naresh to make up for the Prathi Roju Pandage cast.
The film aims at imparting a stern message to the children to take care of their aging parents and not to leave them alone in their old age days.
In the film, Raghuramayya enacted by Satya Raj has been diagnosed with lung cancer and has a handful of days left in his life. Despite being aware of this fact his children cannot manage even the slightest of time to visit their father. They are all busy in their lives. This where we see the entry of Sai played by Sai Tej.
He decides to take care of his grandfather and to be with him in his last days. He asks him about his wishes and starts fulfilling them one by one. He just wishes to give his grandfather the best time of his lifetime, in the quest he even arranges a marriage for his grandfather.
The film is a brilliant piece from Maruthi who has so nicely woven the story. Satya Raj’s chemistry and bonding with Sai Tej is probably the takeaway scene from the film Prathi Roju Pandage. The director has not forgotten to make sure that the comedy element is there in the film. However, the film starts to get a bit predictable in the second half and the thrill portion is gone. The materialistic and ignorant behavior of children towards their parents is shown quite remarkably in the movie.
