Phantasm III picks up the story where Phantasm II left it. As we learn that the Tall Man cannot be killed, Mike gets captured, leaving Reggie alone to rescue him and face many dangers.
Phantasm III: Lord of the Dead (1994) Review:
The first movie had the scenario, the second had the action and the cool weapons…and now this this sequel has unfortunately not much left to surprise its viewers. This sequel is a compilation of some more sphere weapons’ action (and there is a LOT of spheres in this sequel!), but the mysterious atmosphere from the first two movie has now weakened.
The best thing about this sequel remains the characters. Both the kid and Rocky are quite unusual and add some freshness to the scenario. Overall, Phantasm III is a disappointing third episode on view of the two first ones, but one that fan of the series should like nevertheless.
