Phantasm (1979) Review:
Be prepared for it, Phanstasm is an old classic, but one that could take the unaware viewer by surprise, for its atmosphere is very strange. Saying that it is a very mysterious movie would be weak – it is simply unique. Those who enjoyed movies such as Suspiria should enjoy this one. Despite the rather average acting and a slow start, the plot is solid and the movie gain in intensity rapidly, partly thanks to the repetitive and overused music theme, partly because of the spectator’s eagerness to understand what the hell is actually happening. The ending really took me by surprise, great movie!
