Pathology (2008) Review:
Pathology is not really a horror film, more of a medical thriller, but since the film contains so much violence, death and gruesome scenes, I think it is only fair to have it reviewed here.
The concept of the film is interesting: brilliant pathologist students compete in a game where they have to kill someone in the way that is the most difficult for their friends to identify. In that way, the all film reminds of a giant, gory episode of Dr House. The medical aspect is a good pretext to show dead bodies being mutilated (of which you’ll see plenty).
To me, the gore was the highlight of the film. The presence of Alyssa Milano, Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes) is also a plus. The drawback, however, comes from the lack of surprises in the scenario. It is pretty easy to guess as the story goes, which is a big problem for a thriller movie. For this reason, I only recommend it to pure gore hounds and thriller lovers.
