Drag Me to Hell (2009) Review:

This movie, expected by many for a long time, was Sam Raimi great test. Can the master of horror who directed the Evil Dead series come back to make good horror films after a disappointing Spiderman series? Well, from my point of view, Raimi passes the test very successfully!

“Drag Me to Hell” is really in the vein of Evil Dead II, with a perfect balance between horror and comedy. The comedy is actually cleverly hidden behind the horror/action (the liters of fluids going in the heroine’s mouth, aha), and you probably need to have seen a couple of Evil Dead films to fully understand Raimi’s humor in that one. I just saying that in response to many horror newbies who thought it as an incredibly bad movie.

Anyway, this movie is a love it or hate it. For me, it confirms the fact that Sam Raimi its place in the Top 10 of the greatest masters of horror!
