Diary of the Dead (2007) Review:

After Land of the Dead, which I would qualify of “OK”, zombie master George A. Romero comes back once more to his beloved genre only to deliver a rather disappointing zombie flick. It is not “bad”, it is just really basic, without surprise or crazy ideas. Goodbye the great time of Night of the Living Dead and Dawn of the dead, we will never have something like “the blood pressure test scene” anymore.

Diary of the Dead has the looks of a low-budget amateurish flick, which is something I personally like, but that will disappoint all those who were waiting for another of Romero’s masterpiece.

Thereee are some good creepy scenes, the hospital one being of them, but nothing unforgettable. Good entertainment for sure, but not a zombie film that people will remember.
