Cube 2 (2002) Review:

Cube 2 started really well. The addition of a further dimension to the cube concept, namely the time factor, is a clever and logical continuation to the first movie and really adds something more to the puzzle. However, it quickly makes the film too convoluted and complicated, getting the viewer lost in a movie that ends up being more boring than oppressive.

Overall, this sequel is by far less good than the first Cube on every point: acting, suspense, and most importantly the traps. Another thing that turned me off was the presence of scenes outside the Cube. It really breaks down the tempo of the film and allows you to breathe out of the cube, whereas the first was leaving you to suffocate along with the protagonist, which was a great feeling. A major disappointment to me.
