With SAW III opening next weekend it should come as no surprise that those marketing madman over at LIONSGATE have chosen this Tuesday as the day to release a special edition of SAW II. The film has obviously been out there for a year or so now so no need to go through the process of reviewing the film yet again what you folks need to know is should you run out and pick it up again on DVD and the answer is;
YES, YES, YES.
I was a little luke warm in my review of this film about a year ago but you know what? It ages well. I really enjoyed my time spent sifting through this disc. I watched the feature again just to reacquaint myself with the storyline and I found myself totally sucked back into the story. I even enjoyed the now trademark twist ending this time around. It worked for me. Sometimes films are best viewed after the excitement of the initial release.
The special feature are well put together, informative and fun as hell. I really like how on disc 2 you can choose to hunt for the specific features by working your way through the house from the film and following the clever and well placed clues. Don’t worry though, if you’re a wimp you can click on the little icon and view them he normal way. So, what all does the disc hold? Read on for the official press release from LIONSGATE:
