Come Out and Play (2013) Review:
This movie is a remake of “Quien Puede Matar a un Nino” (1976) (= who can kill a child), that I haven’t seen but heard good things about; one to watch for comparison.
Come out and Play is one of those movies that has an awesome trailer, super attractive so that you watch it as soon as possible. Big BOOM! Only things is: you saw the trailer, you saw the movie! The storyline could have been interesting but it doesn’t go deep enough, with no surprises and a predictable ending. A nice turn around to spice up the story a bit would have really helped!
Still, I found this movie entertaining, but I was hoping for more. If you are patient, it will surprise you…or not! Even though I wasn’t overwhelmed by this movie, I think Makinov has potential as the movie still brought a curtain call for more and also some good viewpoints on stressed-out characters, which brought a bit of suspense. The average rating for an average movie.
