Ashwath Raina’s Plan for Nuclear
The movie begins in 1995 showing that China had already completed 43 nuclear test whereas India is still had only1 nuclear test back in 1974. Now India in is under pressure by rival neighbors Pakistan and China. Meanwhile, there is a meet up in the Prime minister’s office to discuss the alternate. An IAS officer Ashwath Raina( John Abraham) suggests a plan for the nuclear test but it gets disapproves by all the minister. Suresh Yadav PMO secretary tells Ashwath to prepare a file of his proposal and don’t let anyone know about this.
Ashwath’s Preparation
Aswath prepares a whole plane in a file and a floppy as said by Yadav and handover him both the things which contain all the details of his plan. The cunning Yadav submit only half details to the prime minister and didn’t give the information which is there in the floppy. Then they decide to work upon the plan for nuclear test and Ashwath is not included in the mission.
The Mission Fails for Nuclear
Hence the mission fails due the half baked information now Yadav to save himself blame Ashwath for the failure and Ashwath get suspend. After a few years, government changes and new prime minister comes in power. Ashwath whois living in Mussoorie now and giving training to IAS aspirants gets an offer from Delhi University to teach there. It is an investigation set up by the new PMO secretary of the 1995 failure mission. He wants to give him an opportunity to explain the actual plan he made in 1995.
The Nuclear Test
This whole mission has to be kept confidential and he has asked to make a team hence he made a team consists of members from BARC, DRDO, Indian army, ISA and IB. Ashwath leading a team goes to proceed the plan local spies informs CIA and ISI. even after Facing several challenges the team led by Ashwath successfully conduct a nuclear test. And as a result, India has become the new superpower.
