Athiran Movie Story
1st Half of Athiran
Athiran, a movie revolves around a mental patient and her doctor and how he sets her free. Nitya ( Sai Pallavi) belongs to the royal affluent family but she is an autistic patient. Her royal family went through a horrifying tragedy and she is the heir of the family. A horrific tragedy lands her into a mental asylum where she is confined and imprisoned.
The mental asylum that Nitya is living in is located in a posh and high range locality. Dr. Benjamin (Atul Kulkarni) is one of the doctors of the mental asylum. But his method of treatment is very strange, abnormal and unconventional. Nitya has not been treated like other patients. He kept her all the time locked in a room, unlike other patients, she is not allowed to live freely.
2nd Half of Athiran
The later government appoints Dr. M K Nair ( Fahadh Faasil) for the mental asylum. He inspects the asylum and patients. He notices that while other patients are free there, Nitya is locked and imprisoned. Also, there are no records registered of Nitya’s presence there. So he asks Dr. Benjamin that he want to see Nitya.
He asked Dr. Benjamin for clarification and from here arguments and disputes starts between them. Now the story spins around Nitya and Dr. M K Nair. The story revolves around how he investigates her past; How she reached a mental asylum being an heir of a royal family; and how he helps her to get free from the mental asylum.
ATHIRAN REVIEW
Athiran directed by Vivek and written by P.F. Matthews is a non-stop thriller movie, which has an unpredictable story. Some of the scenes will leave you in shock. It is not a horror movie but will definitely make you scream.
Starcast
Fahadh Faasil is one of the finest actors of Malayalam film industry. He won several awards in the past and he leaves his mark in Athiran with his precise acting.
Sai Pallavi has spread her magic in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu movies also. She had received many awards. Playing the character of an autistic girl is not an easy task but she played it wonderfully.
