Story of Raabta

Introduction of Shiv Kakkar

The film begins with, Shiv Kakkar (Sushant Singh Rajput), is a young man from Amritsar who gets a rewarding break to work in Budapest for a job as a banker and leaves with his friend, Radha (Varun Sharma). Shiv is presented to have been a fun-loving playboy back in the home and carries on with this attitude in Budapest also. Saira Singh ( Kriti Sanon) a young lady, is haunted by ordeals of sinking to death.

She lives by herself in Budapest and she works as a chocolate maker. Shiv occurs to blunder upon Saira’s shop when on a date with a lady but notices himself intensely charmed to Saira.

Proposal Rejection

However, at the start, she declines his proposal, she ultimately surrenders to him and sleeps with Shiv, disclosing on the next morning, in reality, s she has a boyfriend and whatever happens between both are them was a big mistake. Afraid to let go of their spark. Shiv intervenes in Saira’s date with his boyfriend Manav ( Vikas Verma) and displays to her that she would by choice with him than her boyfriend Manav.

Shiv and Saira’s Dating

After seeing this Manav breaks his relationship with her, and Shiv and Saira start dating each other. One night they go to a club with his friend Radha, where they by chance meet a weird astrologer who knows about Saira’s nightmares and says her that the events of her earlier life will repeat themselves, only she can sort them. Saira cryingly discloses to Shiv that she has a terror of water because her parents sunk after a car mishap when she was just two years old. While attempting to challenge their love for a final time, Shiv and Saira make an agreement.

Saira’s Attraction on Zakir

Shiv teases with so many women, but Saira finds herself firmly attracted to young businessman Zakir aka Zak Merchant (Jim Sarbh). Shiv disclose her that he has to go for a business tour for a week and Saira and he chooses to see how they will feel after separation for a week. If they still feel firm, they will start to think about marriage. When Shiv is not there, Saira comes to know Zakir better and reveals in him about her nightmares. During one of their dinner, he drugged Saira and abduct her.

When Saira wakes up and finds herself captured in Zakir’s remote mansion on an Island off the coast. She orders that let her go, but he declines, saying that he drained his all life searching for her. He clarifies that he was madly in love with her in an earlier life but his love stayed one-sided. When she does not trust him, he shows the collection of strangely exact sketches he made of her at different ages and tells she will find clarification of her nightmares.

The Earlier Memory

Thinking he is mad, she tries to get away but ends up falling into the sea, which starts the memories of her earlier life. Almost three hundred years ago, Saira was a fighter princess know as Saiba. She had a childhood friend Qaabir ( Jim Sarbh), a fellow fighter from her tribe who was in love with her. Their empire was threatened by the Muraakis, lead by old Rajput king Mohawk (Rajkummar Rao).

While in a battle Qaabir is badly injured by the violent fighter Jillian (Sushant Singh Rajput), who gives Qaabir a final offer to surrender. Saiba dares Jillian and they find themselves attracted to each other. Saiba obtains defeat, surrendering the empire to the Muraakis and herself to Jilan.

Qaabir’s Struggle to Get Saiba Back

When Qaabir tries to take Saiba back with him, but she discloses to Qaabir that she is in love with Jillian and he also loves her. On their wedding night, a comet falls from the sky Mohawk comes to know that this will be a crucial night. Qatar traps Saiba and Jillian and kills Jillian by injuring him and throws him in the sea. Saiba jumps into the sea to save his life but did not succeed. Saiba who is upset chooses to drown too. When Qaabira sees that Siba is dead, he cuts his own throat, by killing himself.

Saira Saves Shiv

Nevertheless, this time, when Shiv shows up, Saira chooses to fight against Zakir when their earlier lives events repeat Zakir throwing shiv into the sea, Shiv pulls Zakir down with him and Zakir dies in the sea. Saira jumps into the sea to save Shiv, and this time she is able to save him.

Raabta is a Bollywood adventure romantic film which is directed by Dinesh Vijan and the movie is produced by Vijan Homi Adajania and Bhushan Kumar under the banner of Maddock Films.
