Deriving its name from a marvel comics character this movie is an upcoming superhero film, based in America, produced and distributed by Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures respectively in association with Marvel. Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters’ supposedly third installment, is supposed to be released on 19 March 2021 and is unlike other marvel movies which were released under the Disney banner, an entire Sony pictures production.
The film is directed by Daniel Espinosa, written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, and stars Jared Leto as Michael Morbius alongside Matt Smith, Adria Arjona, Jared Harris, Al Madrigal, and Tyrese Gibson.

The trailer which released on 13 January 2020, garnered from positive to mixed reviews, with Julia Alexandra from ‘the verge’ connoting it as ‘ridiculous’ on the other hand its similarity to Venom was acknowledged by Matt Goldberg of ‘Collider’ thus concluding that it may be as successful as venom. Forbes’ Scott agreed with the comparison but made it clear that it might not be able to gain popularity as much, owing to the presence of Tom Hardy in Venom.
Movie Synopsis
Introducing us to the (originally)spider man villain in marvel comics, also known as Dr. Michael Morbius, the trailer makes it clear to the audience that it is a tale of scientists, who on his way to cure a rare blood disease instead ends up with a condition pretty much identical to that of a vampire including a desire to quench the thirst for blood, super strength, and fangs.
It appears easy to make fun of Morbius since it involves Jared Leto turning into a pseudo vampire and his bathymetry for blood.
Not to forget it’s the same actor who played Prince of the darkness and was rightfully crowned at Fuse Chainsaw Awards. Conclusively this role fits him apt.

After finishing off with the project of Espinosa s, John Ekstrand by the end of October 19, began composing the music of Morbius.

Pre-Production and Development Details:
Sony’s idea of Morbius ‘healer becoming the killer and how do you deal with that?’ as confirmed by Arad, was very much met with excitement in producing the same as they were eagerly waiting for Venom to be released and the response henceforth. It seemed far-fetched to Tolmach and they were planning to begin filming in early 2019. Intentionally it was the second film after Venom, produced by Sony in association with Marvel comics.
Venom was a box office hit thus an incentive enough as per box office analyst s to go on with Morbius.
Principal photography began in the last week of February 2019, in London by none other than Olive Manchester’s Northern quarter and the New York City were other principal places where it was shot. It took 12 weeks to wrap with filming.
