Story - A perfect blend of comedy emotions
The movie starts in London where Ajay plays the role of a millionaire businessman and on a day to celebrate his friend’s bachelor party arranges the same at his house and calls a stripper (Rakul Preet Sing) who drinks a lot and stays over. Afterward, Ayesha Khurana (Rakul Preet Singh) starts to like 50 years old man Ashish Mehra (Ajay Devgn) which is a surprise as we can understand a 50yr old Ashish Mehra(Ajay Devgn) falling for a 20 yr old or young guy fall for a young girl but why will a 20 yr old fall for a 50 yr old which comes as a surprise
One can understand if a 20yr old fall for money but here Rakul doesn’t want any money from Ajay which is a surprise for us.
Eventually, they both get into a relationship. Ashish is a matured man and decides to tell the truth about his ex-wife Manju(Tabu) and his two kids who are of the same age as Ayesha(Rakul). The movie seems weird till here, but then one day Ayesha leaves Ashish without giving any reason. This makes Ashish starts behaving like a young guy and gets into a sad mood for his lost love. On the other hand, Ayesha realizes her mistake and returns to Ashish and shows the desire to meet his family.
At last, the couple visits India where they meet Ashish’s Father (Alok Nath), Mother, two grownup kids, and Ashish’s ex-wife Manju(Tabu). Now the confusing part comes that suddenly Ashish has Sex with Manju and also tells the same to Ayesha. Now here the astonishing thing is Ayesh does not say anything about it and is cool about the same. Ayesha is insulted ever moment by the family but she takes it all very calmly.
Direction and Narration - Better But needs Improvement
The direction of the movie is pretty confusing as the characters never tend to gel. The movie seems a bit longer and that is where the narration comes into picture where the first half is quite scenic as the movie starts in the United Kingdom.
We believe that the movie has an extra 15 minutes which was not required. Especially the climax of the movie. Talking about narration, the movie end to go smoot, but not at the initial first 10 minutes. Akiv Ali’s direction seems quite fine and being his debut as a director, we hope more from his upcoming movies.
Acting: Brilliant Performances
What has saved the movies, is the acting. First, we would like to talk about Rakul Preet Singh. She, in fact, is a gem to the Bollywood Industry. Every time she appears in the screen steal the show with her beauty and her smile. Apart from that, her acting is outstanding and has done quite better to suit with experienced actors like Ajay and Tabu.
Tabu, who appears on the 2nd half of the movie is the charm for everyone acting. In fact, she is the one that involves every character making this movie worth watching. Also, this the demand of the script that makes Tabu the main lead to lead others.
Ajay Devgn is at his best in terms of comedy and sense of Humor. Also, Javed Jafari is playing for a short term, but with his double meaning comedy, you might feel uncomfortable with your family. Rest everyone in this movie has done exceptionally great. Even for the side characters involved in the movie.
Final Verdict
The movie is a perfect Bollywood comedy drama to watch. This movie can be watched with your family if they are open for a few double meaning jokes. Overall, the movie is a one-time watch movie. Tabu steals the show in this movie, whereas Ajay is doing his best. Unexpectantly Rakul Preet is giving her best performance and Yes! everyone has loved all three characters.
