Don is a Tamil action-comedy movie directed by Cibi Chakaravarthi, in his directorial debut. The movie star cast includes Sivakarthikeyan, and Priyanka Arul Mohan in the lead roles and also co-stars S. J. Suryah, Samuthirakani, and Soori in other prominent roles. The movie has produced by Allirajah Subaskaran of Lyca Productions and co-produced by Sivakarthikeyan under his Sivakarthikeyan Productions banner. Anirudh Ravichander composes music for the movie, with K. M. Bhaskaran and Nagooran handling the cinematography and editing respectively. The first look poster of the Don film has released on November 10th, 2021.
The trailer of the film gives a glimpse into the college romance between Sivakarthikeyan and Priyanka Arul Mohan in the female lead role. The movie has garnered over six million views on YouTube since its trailer has released. The trailer starts with the college strike scene. This has followed by the introduction of other characters including Sivakarthikeyan. Sivakarthikeyan has shown as a naughty student who often explores new ways to annoy his teachers.
Sivakarthikeyan’s character Vernuganan is immensely talented and aspires to achieve his career in every field. His problem is blindness. There comes a time when he feels he has lost his life and is on the verge of losing everything. Vernuganon’s character experiences a series of different emotions. Sivakarthikeyan looks very light with every emotion.
There is the assumption that Sivakarthikeyan will play the role of a prankster in this romantic college drama. Actor SJ Surya is reportedly playing the role of a professor named Buminathan. Sivakarthikeyan is likely to pair up with SJ Surya to play a college student leader.

Don has originally scheduled to release in theaters on Republic Day (January 26, 2022). Due to the release of big-budget films that month, the producers postponed the release date to Valentine’s Weekend and then rescheduled it to February 17, 2022, to coincide with the actor’s birthday.
