MOTHER'S DAY To Shoot In AUG.

Told you a few weeks back about the remaking of the TROMA classic MOTHER'S DAY that DARRIN LYNN BOUSMAN was gearing up to helm and today brings the news that pre-production is about done and they are ready to start filming in about 6 weeks.

Filming will begin on AUGUST 24th and will take place in Winnipeg Canada.  It is scheduled to wrap on Oct. 9th.  An early 2010 release has been rumored and this shooting schedule would appear to confirm that.

I like Bousman's work on the SAW films and although REPO wasn't my cup of tea I still find myself interested in just what he may have in store for MOTHER'S DAY.

I have always thought MD to be one sick ass film and this is one that I think might actually take well to the whole remake notion.

If you remember the original was about a group of campers that get kidnapped by a couple of messed up brothers who bring their prizes home and proceed to torture and kill them to the delight of their mom.

Early word is that this time around our family of sicko's will return to the house where they once lived to torture and murder the houses new inhabitents and their guests.
