I have had a sneaking suspicion since the first time that I heard about this film that it was going to suck.  As any of you who read here regularly know I have hated the title KILLER PAD since day one.  One of the worst film titles I have ever heard.  Then that god awful DVD cover art came out.  Ughhh.

Well, now I have seen the film and I have to tell you.  It's a turd.

I would never take anything away for Robert Englund.  He is a living icon of the genre as the character of Freddy that he has brought to life will haunt all of us for the rest of our lives but why he ever associated himself with this loser is beyond my reasoning.

It almost seems like they attempted to turn this into a horror film as an after thought.  It actually plays more like a teen comedy along the lines of SUPERBAD or DUDE, WHERE'S MY CAR? etc.  It doesn't work as that type of film either so they throw in a "devil" story line and have a horror icon direct it and presto chango, it's a horror film.   Nope, sorry, don't think so.

Bad title, bad cover art, bad acting, stale jokes, horrible sexual innuendo, incredibly bad writing,  this one sucks on just about every level in which a film can suck.  Only one small redeeming bright spot and that is the fine FX work of Robert Hall.

If you have to watch this cesspool of a film watch it to see the fine craftsmanship of Robert Hall.  He is a true talent and his work looks like a diamond stuck in a turd this time around.

That's about all the time I want to spend on this one.

Here are all the facts from LIONSGATE:
