This film is one that has really polarized the horror community a bit. There are those of us ( like myself) that found it to be at its worst, tolerable and at it's best an edgy frightening retake on a classic tale.
The points I liked when I reviewed the film when it had its turn in the theaters still hold true. Sheri Moon Zombie is fantastic in her role as is Tyler Mane as the adult Michael. The story still needs major help and the script is severely weak at many key points but the performances carry this one and they are worthy of a look.
This release is a double discer and they really pack on the special features for you. This might actually be special feature overload.
One thing I really did love though was the blooper reel. Usually these reels can be filed in the "lame" column but this disc is different. A lot of the bloopers have to do with Malcolm McDowell and they aren't just funny they are freaking hilarious. Regardless of what you thought of this film you need to pick up this disc if for no other reason then to check this section.
I stick by my original opinion of the film. It is well acted, well directed, horribly written film that although far from perfect has enough good creepy moments to add it to your collection. Here are all the details you need:

Synopsis
The residents of Haddonfield don't know it yet... but death is coming to their sleepy small town.
