HOH Exclusive: The Attic

And so it begins, with this article we kick off our extensive, exclusive coverage of The Attic. A new film by Mary Lambert who all you horror geeks should remember as the director behind Pet Sematary, The Attic looks to be a film to keep an eye on and as such we here at House of Horrors have set up some exclusive coverage that is going to keep you coming back for weeks to come.

Tonight brings us several exclusive pics from the film.  What we have are pictures of 3 of the stars of the film. 

This is Alexandra Daddario, who plays Ava in the film.

This is Elisabeth Moss who is the lead role of Emma Callan.

This is Tom Malloy who is Frankie Callan, Emma's older, autistic brother.

I’m sure you all want to know what The Attic is all about well wonder no more here is a synopsis:

Emma (Elisabeth Moss) has a strong aversion towards her family's new house, especially the attic. After moving in, she becomes miserable and reclusive. The rest of the family also seems unhappy and unsettled. Emma's only friend is her younger brother, Frankie (Tom Malloy), who is mentally disabled and autistic and unable to understand many of Emma's tribulations. Her father Graham (John Savage) is an unapproachable control freak and her mother Kim (Catherine Mary Stuart) is an aging beauty queen who has lost touch with reality and moves through life pretending as though everything is perfect.

The situation escalates one day when Emma is in the attic alone. All of a sudden someone who looks like Emma's identical twin sister attacks her viciously. Unfortunately, there are no witnisses to this event and Emma is left to helplessly defend herself. As clues begin to appear around the house, Emma enlists the help of a kind and empathetic police detective named John Trevor (Jason Lewis). Instantly, he and Emma develop an intimate bond and she is relieved to have someone trustworthy be her side. Emma is convinced that someone or something is haunting her, and she refuses to leave her house until she can piece the puzzle together.

But time is not on her side and continues to move forward at an alarming pace. Eventually, Emma suspects her parents of hiding skeletons in the closet from the family's past and practicing evil wicca rituals. As the clues pile up, she discovers that she did once have a sister named Beth, who died twelve days after Emma was born. Emma realizes that this identical twin apparition may actually be Beth returning to life. Emma is convinced that her parents have joined forces with her long lost sister, and that her own life may be in jeopardy. Will Emma and Trevor's strong willpower enable them to reveal "the truth" before time runs out?
