An Update On LAID TO REST
By Dave Dreher

Those fine folks over at Anchor Bay sent along a little update on the Robert Hall directed LAID TO REST.  It's one I know I can't wait to see and I think after you read this you'll be up for it as well.  Here ya go:

Anchor Bay Entertainment proudly announces the completion of principal photography for Laid to Rest, the sophomore writing/directing effort from renowned special makeup effects wizard Robert Hall (Superbad, “Buffy The Vampire Slayer,” the upcoming Pineapple Express). The follow-up feature to his critically acclaimed semi-autobiographical Lightning Bug, and Hall’s first excursion into horror as a director, Laid to Rest boasts a stellar cast headed by Lena Headey (“Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles,” 300), Bobbi Sue Luther ( “Star Trek”), Lucas Till (The Hannah Montana Movie, Walk The Line), and Headey’s “Sarah Connor Chronicles” co-star, Thomas Dekker. The film also co-stars Sean Whalen (Never Been Kissed, Men In Black), Kevin Gage (Heat, GI Jane) and veteran character actor Richard Lynch (Rob Zombie’s Halloween, Invasion USA).

The film is scheduled for release later this year.

“We’re happy to be continuing our relationship with Robert on Laid to Rest,” said Mark Ward, VP, Acquisitions, Anchor Bay Entertainment. “Robert’s directorial debut Lightning Bug is one of our most popular titles and we know Laid To Rest will be even bigger.”

Laid to Rest is the terrifying story of a young girl (Bobbi Sue Luther) who wakes up in a casket with a traumatic head injury and no memory of her identity. She quickly realizes she was abducted by a metal-masked serial killer. Isolated in an unfamiliar rural town, she must survive the night and outsmart the technologically inclined murderer, who is hell-bent on finishing what he started.

The film was produced by Chang Tseng, Ed Polgardy and Bobbi Sue Hall. Seth Nagel is Co-Producer, with Kevin Bocarde and Robert Hall as Executive Producers.

Much more on tis one soon.
