As I think most of you know, I work for Tom Savini. If you didn't know it, you do now.
I know none of my fellow horror sites would ever sink to this level and use their site to promote one of their own events ( please note the use of extreme sarcasm ) but I really think that this is something that just might interest a few of you.
Years back Tom and I used to host these cool as hell mini film festivals at a Cleveland convention known as FRIGHTVISION. Back in the day it rocked. Well, the guy who ran that show managed to somehow run it into the ground and the show died and along with it died SAVINI-THON.
Enter 2008 and the fine folks over at HORRORHOUND and we find SAVINI-THON on the fast track to once again entertaining horror fans. We will be hosting the first SAVINI-THON in about 5 or 6 years at this years HORRORHOUND WEEKEND happening in PITTSBURGH the weekend of JUNE 20th. The show will take place on Saturday JUNE 21st at 6 PM. We will be showing CREEPSHOW and DAY OF THE DEAD and Tom will be on hand and who knows what kind of madness he will have in store.
In years past we have been treated to props from the films, effects demonstrations and other surprises and with this one be the first one in a while Tom is promising all kinds of fun. Also there are a few very special guests that might be joining Tom on stage. All the details are available here so I would go check it out and if you like what you see order yourself up a couple tickets and come join us for one kick ass time.
