Oh. Hell. Yes.
Edgar Wright, the director of the amazing Shaun of the Dead and upcoming Hot Fuzz, spoke with Fangoria recently about the possibility of making his faux-trailer for Grindhouse a full feature.
"The Fango readers have to get out there and keeping going to see Grindhouse so it makes enough money for them to make a sequel, . . . then Eli Roth and I will happily do a double bill of Thanksgiving and Don't. You have my word on that. But thats up to the readers to make it a hit."
While I didn't think Grindhouse was a home run, it has an amazing concept, and the trailers were a stroke of genius. Thanksgiving was a terrific parody of holiday slashers, and Don't was a great send-up of European gothic chillers. The idea of Roth and Wright teaming up for a new double-bill in the future has me damn near salivating.
If you haven't, go see Grindhouse immediately, and help make this sequel happen.
