There was no way to escape the calamity and horror at hand. Decomposing arms outstretched, held him in place as he lay on the ground. his back to the lawn. Perhaps 20 skeletal palms gripping and clutching at his skin and clothes. The woman straddled above him was visibly pregnant - perhaps a full nine months. The tint of her swollen belly, marblized with purple, stretched full to what it would hold without bursting. The look on her face was not kind, as a fertile mother's might appear. Her eyes were dark, hollowed out - and as their gazes met - she let out a bellowing wail and raised her hands to the sky. Claws grew from where red painted nails once were, thick and sharp, splitting and bleeding at the cuticles. With a swipe and a snarl, she drove her fingers downward and into the skin of her lower abdomen - each nail piercing through the leather-like skin with a pop - red rings of blood seeping out around her embedded fingertips. With a fierce yank, she pulled at her flesh, repeatedly, tearing open her womb - hot blood drained to the ground and painted his face. "This is horrible," he cried, knowing deep inside he would never be able to view even one of the new DVD's he had picked up at the store only minutes earlier. The BestBuy bag lay by his side, spilled - as his undead captor removed the fetus from her womb and began to feast...

Kiss Daddy Goodbye (1981)
92 minutes
Rated R for some violence, language and nudity/sexuality
Starring Fabian, Marilyn Burns, Jon Cedar
Directed by Patrick Regan
IMDB Customer Editorial: An aura of mystery surrounds the twins, Beth and Michael and their widowed father. Daddy has reason for keeping them from a normal life; for they've inherited their dead mother's powers. When their father is killed by four gun-crazy bikers they decide to re-animate daddy's corpse. They create a zombie to protect them, and to avenge his own death. "Kiss Daddy Goodbye"/"Revenge of the Zombie" is a shoddy horror flick that is perfect for fans of trash cinema. The acting is truly horrible and the gore is non-existent.The film lacks tension and excitement and is pretty boring, so fans of low-budget American horror will be disappointed.

Mansion of the Doomed (1976)
89 minutes
Rated R
Starring Richard Basehart, Lance Henriksen, Trisha Stewart
Directed by Michael Pataki
SciFilm.org Plot Synopsis: Dr. Leonard Chaney (Richard Basehart) is a somewhat conservative ophthalmologist, he believes that corneal transplantation "goes too far." But his negative stance is shaken when he blinds his beloved daughter Nancy (Trisha Stewart) in a traffic accident (I am guessing that the impact dislodged either the optic nerve or retina from the eye). The guilt stricken scientist becomes obsessed with finding a way to restore Nancy's vision, but pride keeps him from approaching his colleagues. He doesn't want the answer "handed" to him, he wants to find it himself. Transplantation seems to hold the key, but the damage to Nancy's eyes is not in the cornea, it is deeper. Can the entire eye itself be transplanted? Chaney experiments with animals and is successful. The only drawback is that it must be living tissue, not the usual deceased donor. Chaney picks Nancy's lover (Lance Henriksen) as the live eye donor, figuring that the man's love will help him understand the nature of what Chaney believes to be a temporary sacrifice. The operation is a success, but a short lived one. Chaney believes he understands what went wrong the first time, so he begins to search for another unsuspecting live donor...and another...and another...and another...

Directed by René Cardona Jr.
IMDB Plot Summary: Alone, only a harmless pet... One thousand strong, they become a man-eating machine! Known elsewhere as La Noche de los mil Gatos - millionaire playboy Hugo (whose lack of facial expressions give him the appearance of a Thundercat marionette) flies around Acapulco in his private helicopter to pick up sexy young women. He whisks them away to his secluded old castle, where he wines and dines them (among other things, *wink*). With the aid of his bald mute little helper Gorgo, he kills his dates, keeping their heads in a crystal cage and feeding their chopped up body parts to his 1,000-strong army of blood thirty, flesh hungry cats.

Slasher Cinema (2006)
285 minutes
Not Rated
Starring Jack Palance, John Kerry, John Saxon
Directed by various
CD Universe Description: The Slasher Cinema collection presents four bloodcurdling tales of terror: in The Demon, an ex-Marine with ESP tracks down an elusive serial killer; in Craze, an antiques dealer dabbles in black magic and makes human sacrifices to an African idol; in The Glove, an ex-con stalks the prison guards who tortured him; and in Memorial Valley Massacre, campers find themselves terrorized by a hermit with a hatred for modern society.
The Demon (1979)
IMDB: Random people are terrorized by a malevolent man who brings their worst fears to life. Similiar to Halloween and Black Christmas (which no doubt influenced the writer/director) this film deals with a series of bizarre murders and the unexplained stalking of the main characters by an unidentified man with no apparent motives.
Craze (1973)
IMDB: Jack Palance plays as a demented art dealer & antique-shop owner who performs nightly rituals in honor of the African god Chuku, whom he believes will reward him with unimaginable wealth and power if he merely offers up human sacrifice. His methods are fairly creative, ranging from impalement, slashing and burning, to scaring people to death with an ooga-booga fright mask.
The Glove (1979)
IMDB: Sam Kellough is a modern-day bounty hunter in Los Angeles who decides to track down Victor Hale, a vicious, heavy-set ex-convict with a $20,000 bounty on his head, who is killing former prison guards with a leather-laced steel glove in revenge for them beating him with the same instrument while he was imprisoned.
Memorial Valley Massacre (1988)
IMDB: Campers on a holiday are terrorized by an axe-wielding maniac
DVD Special Features include: English audio tracks (unknown), standard scene selection and interactive menu

Tales from the Crypt - Complete Seasons 1-3 (1989)
Amazon.com Description: Television executives plugged into viewers' deepest fears with the debut of Tales From The Crypt in 1989. Its original source material was the EC comic-book; the series originated on HBO and would go on to run for seven seasons. Hosted by the skeletal Crypt Keeper himself, each episode of the show offered a new, ghoulish tale to inspire nightmares in its audience. The show was such a success that a myriad of Crypt-inspired spin-offs resulted, including an animated series, several feature films, and seemingly infinite merchandising opportunities. A popular favorite among horror film fans, Tales From The Crypt also appeals to anyone who loves the strange and visceral thrill of being scared.
