Plot Synopsis:  The Aztec Mummy Collection presents a trio of vintage and campy Mexican horror films.

Attack of the Aztec Mummy: Experimenting in hypnotic regression to past lives, Dr. Almada discovers that his fiancιe, Flor, is the reincarnation of an Aztec maiden who was put to death for loving an Aztec warrior, her body placed at the entrance to a hidden chamber in the Great Pyramid of Yucatan where the treasures of the Aztecs were hidden, and her lover mummified but cursed to remain alive and guard the treasure. With her recovered memories, Flor is able to lead Almada, his wimpish assistant Pincate, and her father to the now-skeletal remains of the maiden. Attached to them is a golden breastplate with a map detailing the route to the treasure. But to their horror, the party is intercepted by the mummified warrior, Popoca, and flee with the breastplate back to Mexico city. Popoca follows. In the meantime, Prof. Krup, an unscrupulous colleague of Almada's, recruits a gang of thugs, whom he leads from behind a mask and known only as "The Bat". Both Krup and his gang, and the mummy, converge on Flor's house to retrieve the sacred breastplate, which is in her possession...

Curse of the Aztec Mummy:  The evil Dr. Krupp, once again trying to get possession of the Aztec princess Xochitl's jewels, hypnotizes her current reincarnation, Flor, to get her to reveal the jewels' location - Xochitl's tomb. Confusion reigns as Krupp and his thugs are opposed by Flor's lover, Dr. Almada, his assistant, and wrestling superhero, El Angel. Krupp finally meets his match, however, when he comes up against Popoca, the warrior mummy who guards Xochitl's tomb.

Plot Synopsis:  This volume of the Crypt of Terror collection presents a double feature of horror classics.

Prime Evil (1988):  A Satanic offshoot of the Catholic church has been operating since the 1500s, led by a renegade priest named Thomas Seaton (William Beckwith). Parkman's intended victim is his virginal granddaughter Alexandra (Christine Moore), though her fiancι Bill (Tim Gail) is suspicious of the intentions of the old man and his lecherous friend Father Seaton. After her mother dies under suspicious circumstances, Alexandra moves in with her grandfather and falls further under the evil priest's spell, never suspecting that she's being prepared for a Winter Solstice sacrifice to Satan. However, the Catholic church is aware of the sinister cult's plans and a young nun has infiltrated their ranks in an effort to smash their blasphemies once and for all.

Eastern Horror 4 Movie Set

Plot Synopsis:  This volume of the Eastern Horror series presents a quartet of Hong Kong films blending horror and martial arts.

Vampire Resurrection (2000):  A group of tourists find that their vacation hosts are bloodsucking vampires.

Devil Shadow (2001):  A cartoonist is haunted by his mother's murderer.

Calamity of Snakes (1982):  A luxury apartment complex is being constructed, unfortunately the team discovers a huge nest of hundreds of snakes on the site.  The boss refuses to delay the construction just because of the snakes and orders them all to be exterminated despite being warned by his wife and her nightmares of the situation.  Not all the snakes end up getting killed and the survivors seek revenge on the construction workers.  It isn't long before a giant boa leads the rest of the thousands of snakes inside the building to kill all the new inhabitants.  "Calamity of Snakes" by William Chang has to be seen to be believed.  Literally hundreds of live snakes are butchered during the film.  The climax certainly involves hundreds of snakes and wholesale slaughter of the animals.  Snakes are chopped to pieces, burned alive, killed with shovels and gutted.  So if you are an animal lover skip this film.  However if you enjoy watching outrageous Asian horror films give it a look.

Devil's Box (1994):  A filmmaker realizes that ghosts are sabotaging his movie set with murderous accidents. ~ IMDB.com/VideoUniverse.com

The Exorcist - The Complete Anthology

Plot Synopsis

Original 1973 (trailer/windows media):  Based on the 1971 novel by William Peter Blatty, The Exorcist marries three different scenarios into one extraordinary plot. A visiting actress in Washington, D.C., notices dramatic and dangerous changes in the behavior and physical make-up of her 12-year-old daughter. Meanwhile, a young priest at nearby Georgetown University begins to doubt his faith while dealing with his mother's terminal sickness. And, book-ending the story, a frail, elderly priest recognizes the necessity for a show-down with an old demonic enemy.

The Version You've Never Seen 2000 (trailer/flash):  1973's The Exorcist is rereleased with extra footage not originally shown in theaters, including the spiderwalk scene where Regan creeps down the stairs upsidedown.  Not a lot of added scenes, but creepy like The Exorcist should be - worth checking out.

Exorcist II: The Heretic 1977 (Ennio Morricone music montage):  The demon is back in this the second film of the three part series as a new priest played by Richard Burton tries to find the demon still living inside Regan (Linda Blair).

Exorcist III: Legion 1990 (trailer /flash):  George C Scott is awesome in this - probably the best sequel of the series.  Ignoring Exorcist II: The Heretic, this one deals with a serial killer who was executed the same night of the exorcism in the first film with the girl Regan. The priest who fell down the flight of steps was been taken into the spirit of the killer to claim victim after victim some 20 years later. The killer mutilates priests and doctors and uses old women as a suspect. After the returning police detective Kinderman sees that it is the same serial killings of the Zodiac, he and another priest decide to find and destroy the killer's spirit with using the final exorcism. But this exorcism will be much dangerous...

The Beginning 2004 (trailer/flash):  Father Lankester Merrin thinks that he has glimpsed the face of Evil. In the years following World War II, Merrin is relentlessly haunted by memories of the unspeakable brutality perpetrated against the innocent people of his parish during the War. In the wake of all the horror he has seen, both his faith in his fellow man and his faith in the Almighty have deserted him, and he can no longer honestly call himself a man of God. Merrin has traveled far from his native Holland in a desperate attempt to try to forget and escape all the evil that he had witnessed there. While currently in Cairo, Egypt, he is approached by a collector of rare antiquities and asked to participate in a British archeological excavation in the remote Turkana region of Kenya. They have unearthed something extraordinary and unusual...a Christian Byzantine church dating from the 5th century, long before Christianity arrived in East Africa, and in inexplicably perfect condition--like it had been buried immediately after it was completed. The collector wants Merrin, an Oxford-educated archeologist, to find an ancient relic hidden within the church before the British do. Interested, Merrin agrees to take the job. But beneath the church, something much older and malevolent sleeps, waiting to be awoken. When the archeologists start excavating, strange things begin occuring, and the local Turkana tribesmen who were hired to work refuse to enter the site. Things only get worse and worse, ultimately resulting in madness and death. Merrin watches helplessly as the atrocities of war are repeated against another innocent village--atrocities he had hoped and prayed never to see again. The blood of innocents flows freely on the East African plain, but the horror has only just begun. In the place where Evil was born, Merrin will finally see its true face.

Dominion 2005 (trailer/flash):  This is the original Exorcist The Beginning - directed by Paul Schraeder - which was ditched and remade because Hollywood felt it didn't have enough "scare".  This one was, in fact, the better of the two.  With The Beginning being reshot more like a music video with more iconic representation of crosses, the devil, etc - Dominion was the more genuine of the two, lacking perhaps in some cheap shockers, but much better told story wise.  As in both films, its years before Father Lancaster Merrin helped save Regan MacNeil's soul - when he first encounters the demon Pazuzu in East Africa.  Merrin's initial battle with Pazuzu leads to the rediscovery of his faith.  ~ Amazon.com
