Got wind of a new indie horror flick heading our way and it stars none other then JUDD NELSON.  Haven't heard his name tossed about for a while.

Below find not only a synopsis and poster but also a trailer for this yet to get a release deal feature.

Coming at us from Anthony Frankhauser and starring Judd Nelson, Danielle

De Luca, Christian Gantt, Ryan Karloff, Edgar Allen Poe IV, Dustin J. Trost and Maggie VandenBerghe SHADOW PEOPLE tells the following tale:

Sylvain, an engineer come vigilante inventor, has constructed a device. It is close to functional, but something isn't right. His wife, Mary Anne, is running out of patience. She loathes the woods in which they live and yearns for a return to the city. Problems arise when their already tense situation is exasperated by the appearance of shadow beings, which torment them during the night. Sylvain slowly comes to realize that this is not a localized event and some greater scheme might be at work. From the meth producing hillbillies on the mountain top to the corrupt lawman, Sheriff Donnelly, no one can escape the reach of the shadow people. Sylvain starts to suspect his device has something to do with it, but cannot bring himself to destroy the machine he has worked so hard to create...

Did you notice a couple of those co-stars?  There's a Karloff in there and a Poe.  Interesting.  Have to check into that.

Here's the poster:

And last but not least....the trailer!

Warner Bros. has release the first few pics from FINAL DESTINATION 5 and guess what?  They show great looking folks running away from things.  I know, how different is that?

I've got to admit, I'm a bit of a sucker for the Final Destination films.  I've loved em all and I have a felling that Part 5 won't be any different but it really is hard to get real excited when the pics that they give us are so....vague.

Tony Todd is back for this one, which is great and the feature event this time is going to be a suspension bridge collapse, though these pics give no hints to the event.  This one don't open till Aug. of next year.

Anyway, here's the pics check em out and see what you think.

Hammer Horror Icon Ingrid Pitt Passes

Actress Ingrid Pitt who men in my age group will remember quite well passed away on Nov. 23rd at the age of 73.

Back in the day they didn't come much better than the lovely Ms. Pitt.  One of Hammer's original scream queens she starred in a whole slew of genre flicks starting in 1964 with SOUND OR HORROR and ending just a few years ago with Hammer's SEA OF DUST.  Icon is the word that best describes Ms. Pitt.  She starred in THE VAMPIRE LOVERS, COUNTESS DRACULA and THE WICKER MAN just to name a few of her credits.

She was born in 1937 in Poland to a German father and Jewish mother.  She survived a concentration camp during WWII.  Amazing.

She released an autobiography, LIFE'S A SCREAM.  I think I'm going to have to look it up.

The horror world will greatly miss her talent and beauty.

The "found footage" craze heads to space this spring with the release of APOLLO 18.  The first one sheet for the film showed up today in an update from DIMENSION FILMS.

Before we look at the poster, which I'm digging by the way, here's what I know APOLLO 18 to be about.

The film is supposedly recovered video from a covert mission to the moon that ends up proving that there is Alien life there.  You can pretty much get that much from the poster.  The only other thing I know is that the film opens on March 4th.

As the New Year dawn I'm sure we'll be hearing much much more on this one so keep it here.

Here's the one sheet:
