Covid 19 has disrupted the Bollywood movie industry. Moreover, Lockdowns and stay at home orders prevent people from going to movie theatres, and businesses are suffering.
For the moviegoers, they have to wait patiently for the pandemic to pass before they can watch their favorite Bollywood movies.
Below is a list of the most anticipated Bollywood movies that will come out after the COVID 19 lockdown.
1. 83
83 is a movie about the story of India’s incredible cricket World Cup victory in 1983 and it’s a good one.
The movie stars: Ranveer Singh as Kapil Dev, Deepika Padukone as Romi Dev, Tahir Raj Bhasin as Sunil Gavaskar and, Jiiva as Krishnamachari Srikkanth.
Kabir Khan is the director and the producers are Khan, Vishnu Vardhan Induri, Phantom Films, Deepika Padukone and Sajid Nadiadwala.
It is on the calendar for an April 10 release, but it will probably move to August 2020. Read more about
2. Sooryavanshi
This movie is a cop thriller by director Rohit Shetty, who is known for similar works in films like Singham, Singham Returns, and Simmba.
The movie stars Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. It is a story about Sooryavanshi, who is now the chief of the Anti-Terrorism Squad in India.
3. Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai
This upcoming thriller stars Salman Khan, Disha Patani, and it’s under the helm of director Prabhu Deva. The movie which is on the calendar for May 27 has not finished shooting due to the Coronavirus shutdowns.
The movie is a sequel of the 2009 hit with the same name and it has Korean origins. It is a remake of the Korean film Outlaws.
4. Brahmastra
This fairy tale was meant for release in June 2020 but it is now moving to December 4, 2020.
The movie stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Amitabh Bachchan. And its director is Ayan Mukherjee. It will be a trilogy and is a romantic fairy tale with supernatural and mythical elements.
Because it borrows from Ancient Indian history, where the Brahmastra is a supernatural weapon used in the war of Mahabharata. All in all,this entire movie has epic written all over it.
5. Laxmmi Bomb
This movie stars Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani. Its director is Raghava Lawrence and it’s a remake of the 2011 Tamil film Muni 2: Kanchana.
It was initially slated to be for release on May 27, but it is now on indefinite hold.
Thereee have been some rumblings lately that it might be showing on OTT, the streaming service. The director has not confirmed this though so keep watching the news feeds for an update.
6. Gulabo Sitabo
Juhi Chaturvedi is the writer of this family comedy-drama which stars Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana. Lucknow was the set of the movie and it has a terrific cast. Furthermore, the writer has some hits in the past which is why we are looking forward to seeing his latest work
The director is Shoojit Sircar; the producers are Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar.
This movie was in for an April 17 release. However recent rumors have it showing up on digital streaming soon.
7. Shakuntala Devi
Vidya Balan plays the legendary mathematician in this movie, whose director is Anu Menon. However, the actress brings her own take on the role.
This movie is a biography of her work including the book “The World of Homosexuals.” The book is wildly seen as the first study of homosexuality in India.
